# Flux Kontext Online – FLUX.1 Kontext Photo Editor | AI Image Tools Source page: https://www.aiimagetools.net/flux-kontext > Use Flux Kontext online: edit a photo by describing the change. FLUX.1 Kontext from Black Forest Labs is the quickest editor here, 5 credits a run. Plain-text version of this page for AI assistants and readers. Site overview: https://www.aiimagetools.net/llms.txt Prices and plan details change; the current ones are on https://www.aiimagetools.net/pricing --- - [Home](https://www.aiimagetools.net/) - [Models](https://www.aiimagetools.net/models) - FLUX.1 Kontext # FLUX.1 Kontext Flux Kontext is Black Forest Labs' editing model, and the default behind Image to Image and the seven redraw tools here. It is the quickest way to change one thing in a photo and leave everything else alone, with no GPU or ComfyUI setup. 5 — credits per image 20–30s — measured, photo edit 1 — input image per run Default — for Image to Image ## Example prompts for FLUX.1 Kontext The same prompts are behind the “Try an example” button in the input box; each click loads the next one. ### Product shot Matte black ceramic mug on a pale linen surface, soft window light from the left, shallow depth of field, editorial product photography ### Portrait Close-up portrait of an older woman laughing, natural window light, film grain, 85mm lens, shallow depth of field ### Landscape Misty pine forest at dawn, low fog between the trunks, cold blue light, wide shot ## Flux Kontext online vs. running it yourself Most people searching for Flux Kontext land on the open-weights release and a ComfyUI workflow. That route is free but needs a capable GPU and some setup. This page is the other route: the hosted model, in a browser. ### Flux Kontext dev (open weights) Black Forest Labs published a dev checkpoint you can download and run locally, usually through ComfyUI with a Kontext workflow, GGUF quantisations for smaller cards and LoRAs for specific styles. You control everything, and you pay for it in VRAM and setup time. ### Flux Kontext pro and max (hosted) The pro and max tiers are only available through hosted APIs. This site runs Flux Kontext through its model provider's API; the provider exposes a single Kontext model and does not say which tier sits behind it, so we don't claim one. ### What you get here Upload a photo, type the change, get the edited image back in 18 to 27 seconds across our runs, for 5 credits. No workflow nodes, no model downloads, and the same prompt can be rerun on Nano Banana, Seedream or GPT Image from the same dropdown. ### What you don't get LoRAs, custom samplers, seeds and the other knobs a local ComfyUI setup gives you. If you need those, run the dev model yourself; if you need a quick, reliable edit, the hosted Flux Kontext is the faster path. ## Why FLUX.1 Kontext on AI Image Tools ### Built for editing, not for starting from nothing Give it a photo and an instruction. It is the model the site reaches for whenever the job is "change this part, keep the rest", which is most of the toolkit. ### The fastest option on the site Our edit runs came back in 18 to 27 seconds. Nano Banana, at the same price, can take several minutes on the same job when it is busy. ### One image in, by design Its input field takes a single image rather than a list. That is why Virtual Try-On does not offer it: it would see the person and have to guess the garment. ### Same 5 credits as the cheapest tier Speed here does not cost extra. Spend the difference on running two variations instead of one. ## Every image model in one place Pick any of these from the Model menu above; the price is shown before you generate. Each name links to what that model is good at. Phone photos are fine. - Step 2 ### Name one change "Make it winter, keep the building and the people exactly as they are." One change per run beats a list of five. - Step 3 ### Compare and iterate Each run is cheap and quick, so stack edits across runs instead of writing one long prompt. ## How to write a prompt for FLUX.1 Kontext ### One change per run It is fast and cheap enough that chaining beats stacking. Each pass gives you something to check. ### Say what must stay "Keep the face, pose and background" is the single most useful sentence you can add to an edit prompt. ### Describe the result, not the process "The wall is painted sage green" works better than "repaint the wall". ### Match the light If you add an object, say where the light comes from so it sits in the scene instead of floating on top. ## Pricing Every tool draws from one balance. 40% OFF No hidden fees • Cancel anytime • Unused credits roll over 16% OFF - Save $18.8 $8.3/month $9.9/month $100/year billed yearly 480images / year $0.21 per image on Nano Banana - [Included] 2,400 Credits renew yearly - [Included] Or 120 images in 4KGPT Image 2.5 · 4K - [Included] All 26 tools, one balance - [Included] All 18 models, including the 4K tiers - [Included] Download without watermark 20% OFF - Save $70.8 Popular $24.0/month $29.9/month $288/year billed yearly 1,920images / year $0.15 per image on Nano Banana - [Included] 9,600 Credits renew yearly - [Included] Or 480 images in 4KGPT Image 2.5 · 4K - [Included] All 26 tools, one balance - [Included] All 18 models, including the 4K tiers - [Included] Download without watermark 40% OFF - Save $238.8 $30.0/month $49.9/month $360/year billed yearly 4,320images / year $0.083 per image on Nano Banana - [Included] 21,600 Credits renew yearly - [Included] Or 1,080 images in 4KGPT Image 2.5 · 4K - [Included] All 26 tools, one balance - [Included] All 18 models, including the 4K tiers - [Included] Download without watermark Swipe to compare plans → ## FLUX.1 Kontext: frequently asked questions ### ### What is FLUX.1 Kontext? An image editing model from Black Forest Labs, the lab behind the FLUX family, usually written simply as Flux Kontext. It takes a photo plus an instruction and returns the photo with that one change applied. ### ### Can I use Flux Kontext without ComfyUI? Yes. This page runs Flux Kontext online: upload a photo and describe the edit in the generator above. Nothing to install, no GPU needed. ### ### How is it different from Nano Banana? Both cost 5 credits. Kontext is considerably faster on edits, 18 to 27 seconds against several minutes in our runs. Nano Banana follows long instructions more literally and can read several reference images; Kontext takes one. ### ### Can it generate an image from text alone? Yes, it is offered in Text to Image as well. Its strength is editing, but it will generate from a prompt. ### ### Why can't I choose it for Virtual Try-On? That tool needs a model that reads two images, the person and the garment. Kontext takes a single image, so it would never see the garment and would invent one instead. It is left out of that dropdown on purpose. ### ### Does it keep faces recognisable? On single-subject edits, yes, especially when you tell it to. Add "keep the face exactly the same" and check the result at full size. ### ### Is FLUX 3 available here? Not yet. Black Forest Labs released FLUX 3 Image in October 2026, but our model provider has not added it. The FLUX 3 page has what we know and a button to get one email when it goes live; until then Kontext is the FLUX model on this site. ### ### What happens if a run fails? You are only charged when an image comes back. A failed or timed-out run costs nothing. ## Edit a photo in about half a minute Kontext is preselected in the generator above. Upload a photo and name one change.
