Cookie Policy

Last updated: 9 October 2026

1. The short version

We set one cookie to keep you signed in. Google Analytics runs only if you click “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner. A small first-party cookie remembers which page you first arrived on (see section 3). We have no advertising or marketing cookies, and we don't sell data.

2. Strictly necessary

These are needed for the site to work, so they don't ask for consent.

  • ait_session: keeps you signed in. Set when you sign in with Google, lasts 30 days, not readable by page scripts.
  • ait_oauth: protects the Google sign-in step against forgery. Lasts 10 minutes and is removed once you are signed in.

3. Analytics (only with your consent)

  • Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*): counts page views and which tools people use. Kept up to 2 years. Advertising features are switched off.

Until you accept, the Google Analytics script is not loaded at all. If you accept and later change your mind, we stop loading it and delete these cookies.

  • ait_ft: our own cookie, kept for 30 days. It records the first page you landed on, the website that linked you here, and any campaign tags in that link (such as utm_source), so we can tell which pages bring people who sign up. It is not shared with anyone and is saved to your account only if you register.
  • ait:visit-day (local storage): the date of your last visit, nothing else. On your first visit each day we send one “visit” count to our own server, with the site that linked you here, so we know how many people visit each day. It carries no ID and is not shared with anyone.

In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland (or if we can't tell where you are), ait_ft and the visit count are set only after you click “Accept analytics”. Elsewhere it is set on your first visit unless you click “Reject”. Rejecting deletes ait_ft and stops the visit count wherever you are.

4. Things stored in your browser

A few settings are kept in your browser's local storage, not in cookies. They never leave your device and are not used for tracking:

  • Your cookie choice, so the banner doesn't ask again (for 12 months)
  • Whether the side menu is open or collapsed
  • Whether the daily check-in window has already opened today, and whether you closed the new-visitor bar
  • What you typed on the home page, carried to the tool page for up to 10 minutes

5. Changing your choice

Use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page to bring the banner back. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser; you will then need to sign in again.

6. Updates to this policy

If we add a cookie or change what one does, we update this page and the date at the top.
