How to use Headshot Generator

    Upload one selfie

    Front-facing and evenly lit is ideal, but a normal phone selfie is what this is built for. Do not dress up — the outfit is applied afterwards.

  2. Step 2

    Pick an outfit and a backdrop

    Two dropdowns. They default to a business suit on a grey studio backdrop, which is what most people want.

  3. Step 3

    Run two or four, keep one

    Compare and download the closest. Credits are charged per image and only when an image actually comes back.

A few choices before you upload change the output more than any setting on this page.

  • Eyes visible beats eyes shut

    Closed eyes are reconstructed rather than kept, and reconstructed features are where likeness goes. Any photo where your eyes are open gives a closer result.

  • Do not dress up first

    Uploading a photo of yourself already in a suit gains nothing — the outfit is replaced either way. Pick the photo with the best-lit face, not the best clothes.

  • One face per photo

    Crop yourself out of a group shot before uploading. The model works on whoever it finds, and with two faces the result is a coin flip.

What happens to the photo you upload

You are about to hand us a picture of your face. Here is exactly where it goes.

  • We don't keep the photo you upload

    Your selfie goes straight to the model that processes it. It is never copied into our own storage — only the finished image is.

  • Results live on our servers, not the model's

    The model provider deletes its copies after 14 days. Every result is mirrored to our own storage first, so what you made is still there next month.

  • Delete means the file, not just the row

    Removing an image in My Creations deletes the stored file itself. It is not hidden from a list while quietly staying on disk.

  • One caveat, stated plainly

    A result's URL is not behind a login, so a link you share keeps working for whoever has it — that is what makes sharing possible. Nothing you make is listed in any public gallery. Full detail in the privacy policy.

Headshot Generator: frequently asked questions

What should I wear for the photo I upload?

Whatever you have on. The outfit you pick is applied during generation, so a t-shirt selfie produces the same suit as a photo where you already dressed up. Choose the photo with the clearest, best-lit face instead.

Can I use an AI headshot for a passport or visa?

No. Passport, visa and most government ID photos must be an unretouched photograph taken of you, and AI-generated or AI-altered images are rejected. This is built for LinkedIn, a company team page, a CV or a conference bio.

What size does a LinkedIn profile photo need to be?

LinkedIn asks for at least 400 x 400 pixels and under 8 MB. Pick the Square size here and the default model returns roughly 992 x 992, comfortably above that. The same square crops cleanly for a CV, Slack or a company page.

Will people be able to tell it is AI?

Sometimes. A clean front-facing selfie in good light gives a result most people would not question; a dim, angled or partly covered face gives one they might. That is why you can run four and pick, and why the expectations table above is blunt about which inputs do not work.

How does this compare to booking a photographer?

A studio session is priced per session and turned around in days. Here it is 5 to 20 credits per image depending on the model, and the 20 credits you get at sign-in cover a first run. What a photographer gives you that this cannot is a real camera pointed at the real you — if the headshot is going on a book jacket, book the photographer.

Does it change how I look?

Only the clothes, the backdrop, the framing and the expression. Face, age, hair and skin texture are held deliberately — no slimming, smoothing or de-ageing. If a result drifts, rerun it or switch to FLUX.1 Kontext or Nano Banana, which hold a face more tightly.

What happens if a generation fails?

You are only charged when an image comes back. If the model fails or times out, nothing is deducted and you can simply run it again.

Can I use the results commercially?

You keep the rights to what you upload. Commercial usage rights are included with the Pro and Studio plans; see the pricing section on this page.
