Nano Banana 2.1 is Google's update to Nano Banana 2. Here is what runs on this page today, what Google says 2.1 changes, and what happens when it arrives.
Nano Banana 2, through our model provider's API, at three sizes: 1K for 10 credits, 2K for 15 and 4K for 23. The model menu in the generator says exactly which one you are using.
According to Google's model card: better visual quality at 1K, 2K and 4K, no more tiling artifacts on wide and panoramic aspect ratios, more accurate text and infographic layouts, and steadier character consistency across several turns of edits.
Our provider has not released it yet. As soon as it does, we test it, switch the generator over and update this page. If the price per image changes, the new price is on the Create button before you spend anything.
The original Nano Banana (Gemini 2.5 Flash) costs 5 credits and is still in the model menu. Nano Banana 2 costs more, adds 2K and 4K output and extreme banner ratios, and is the newer generation.
1K for drafts and social posts at 10 credits, 2K at 15 when you need more detail, 4K at 23 on paid plans for print or heavy cropping. Same model, same prompt.
14 aspect ratios, including 1:4, 4:1, 1:8 and 8:1 for website banners, tall infographics and long strips. The original Nano Banana stops at 21:9.
Upload a photo and say what to change: swap the background, change an outfit, add or remove an object. Say what has to stay the same and it keeps it.
Credits are charged when an image is delivered. A failed or timed-out run costs nothing.
Pick any of these from the Model menu above; the price is shown before you generate. Each name links to what that model is good at. Compare every tier.

1K is preselected; switch to 2K in the model menu if you need the detail. Say what you want, and for edits, what should stay the same.
Results are saved to My Creations. Free-plan downloads carry a small watermark.
For a sign, poster or label, put the exact text in quotes and keep it short: "Grand Opening" beats a sentence describing the sign.
Pick 8:1 or 4:1 for a banner, 1:4 for a tall infographic. Describing a banner in the prompt does not change the canvas; the ratio does.
For edits, list what must not change: face, pose, background, text.
Get the composition right at 1K, then rerun the same prompt at 2K or 4K.
Every tool draws from one balance.

The community name for Google's Gemini 3.1 Flash Image model, the successor to the original Nano Banana (Gemini 2.5 Flash). It generates images from text and edits photos from plain-language instructions.
The original costs 5 credits and is fine for quick edits. Nano Banana 2 starts at 10 credits and adds 2K and 4K output and banner ratios down to 1:8. Both are in the same model menu, so you can run one prompt on each and compare.
Every image costs credits: 10 at 1K. New accounts get 10 credits on sign-in, enough for one image at 1K. Free-plan downloads carry a small watermark.
4K costs us the most per image, so it is part of the paid plans, like the other 4K models here. 1K and 2K work on the free plan.
You are only charged when an image comes back. A failed or timed-out run costs nothing.
It is preselected in the generator at the top of this page. Start with your free credits.
